Google Chrome For Mac

Google (Google reviews)?s first try at building a web browser was almost an unexpected success: Chrome (Chrome reviews) is fast and quite reliable, and I?ve made a habit of firing it up whenever my trusty old Firefox (Firefox reviews) goes out of breath.
A version of Google Chrome (Google Chrome reviews) for Mac has been in the works from the beginning, but now the development team has screenshots to prove they?re close to a first beta.

Mike Pinkerton has some updates on the progress of the Mac version. There?s a lot to be done, and some elementary features (clicking) do not work, but the user interface stays running even if the renderers crash, which was not, according to Mike, easy to do.
The screenshot above also shows that the team is aiming for a ?clean and simple? design. However, if you?re wondering about a release date, don?t get too excited just yet: Mike claims the dev team has a ?very very long way to go.?
